She tricked us!

I shouldn't have been so quick to sing the praises of Samara's sleep. Last night, after sleeping for nearly four hours (all four hours of which I was awake, assuming that she would sleep through the night), she woke up. And she cried. And cried. And cried. For 2 and a half hours. Tim told me that his last words to her after one of his intermittent comforting visits were, "You are not going to win this battle."

She fell asleep.

And then she woke up again at 3:00 and cried off and on until 4:00.

And then she woke up at 5:45.

I don't know who 'won' that battle, but I know that I'm very tired! The ear plugs only work so well!

Oh dear! Sounds like Cade and Samara will be great friends...he had a middle of the night "awake" period too last night! I hope tonight goes better...for both of us! :)

Before diagnosis I had been reading a book and talking to co-workers on how to get Samantha to sleep through the night. finally she slept through a few nights only to be awake the next few nights. Now that we're out of the hospital she's doing pretty well in the sleep department(knock on wood). You're not alone. :)
