It's a Thursday night. Tim is at Alpha. Samara is sleeping and I'm not quite sure what to do with myself. So I think I'll start a blog.
It has only been in the last week that Samara has learned to sleep through the night. She had started to wake up so frequently that I began to wonder if I would ever get to sleep through the night again. So, I emailed Samara's pediatrician and she recommended this book by Kim West, aka The Sleep Lady.
Thank you, Dr. Davis. Thank you, Kim West. Thank you, God. It took about one and a half nights for Samara to figure out how to sleep through. It was almost as if Samara had been waiting for us to finally figure out how to keep her sleeping. And lately she's been sleeping 11 hours straight.
AND she's taking naps in her crib! I never thought that would happen... but apparently, that's how it goes.
I'm signing off for now - I want to figure out how to set up this page. If you're coming over from Samara's Care Page to Samara's mommy's (and daddy's?) blog, welcome.

Yippee! Welcome to blogville! Yeah! I am so excited to hear little milestones from day to day. It is the next best thing to being able to see you guys frequently. :) Love ya!
Heidi,
Thanks for starting the blog. I think that this is yet another sign that the DeJonge family has reached a new season.
You can continue the communication with loved ones in the way that you did with the carepages, but now in a new venue.

Hi Heidi -
Welcome to the world of blogging! I have a couple blogs, although they've been neglected this school year since things got too busy. If you want to have a good laugh check out my blog I kept from last summer when my friends and I pranked our pastor (Willemina). The address is punked-rachelstyle.blogspot.com. Don't forget to start with the first entry and work your way up. Enjoy!
I'm a blogger addict. I just love to be able to post little thoughts, big thoughts, and daily happenings. And I am just as addicted to reading other people's blogs so I'll be checking in on yours! We used the Sleep Lady with Andrew too and it worked really well. Hugs to Samara.
Emily
Yeah! I am so excited about your blog :-) can't wait to check in for updates and thoughts from you. The page looks great, by the way - very you :-)
