I dropped Samara off in the toddler nursery yesterday morning - for she is definitely a toddler! Bigger nursery, bigger toys, bigger kids - all for my bigger girl.
When Tim picked her up from the nursery, one of the attendants for the day said that she was both industrious and cheerful. Tim thought this description an amusing combination of adjectives.
Here is the Calvinist Cadet Code:
A Cadet is Reverent, Obedient, Compassionate, Consecrated, Trustworthy, Pure, Grateful, Loyal, Industrious and Cheerful.
:-) I'm proud of our girl - and pleased that others are already seeing her virtues. My little cadet.

That is sweet. So far we've only been able to leave littl Sam in the nursery our first Sunday back from the hospital. Since then she won't let us out of her sight when we approch the nursery and if I try and leave her she gets so upset that she throws up, so the nursey attendants normally page us after about 2 minutes of crying. :) Sorry, i think the furstration is comming through.
And cute. Very cute. An important adjective to remember, whether in the code or not.
Industrious! Brilliant. I am trying to imagine what that means in a nursery and I just keep picturing her beavering away at some game or toy, with that concentrated look, persevering to build a block tower, or 'read' a book, chatting away to herself, chuckling, head up every now and then to give a big grin to communicate her joy. Delightful!
