First - thank you so much for all of your prayers for peace and patience. Yesterday was a long day and last night was a long night. We didn't hear until after 10:00pm the result of the Council's deliberation. And then our internet was down so I wasn't able to do the immediate communication I'd hoped to do.
The short story is this. They've extended the call (the letter is being hand-delivered this afternoon), but the call from the three congregations combined is much stronger than the call from the congregation in which I would be serving.
We're in a period of intense discernment - gleaning wisdom from those who know and love us.
We have peace even in this restless time.
