Samara had her first experience in her pool on Monday. It took me 45 minutes of blowing really hard, but I got her pool filled with air - and then water. Samara and I bought swimmer diapers and sunglasses and a sunhat at the grocery store - and then in she went.
The water was obviously unpleasantly cold at first - but she got used to it... and before long - I joined her. So, there we sat - Mom and daughter stuffed in a blown-up pool in our tankinis (in our backyard - along which runs a very well-traveled road... Because of the blow-up shade on our pool and because Samara was under the shade and I wasn't, it wasn't obvious to all of those driving by that Samara was in the pool... Tim said that we were amusing people - a guy sitting in his lawnchair next to his scantily clad wife in a very small pool on a hot day... Only for you, Samara).
Here's a partial record of her experience:

Oh, how cute - I love the singing! And I could just about hear her saying, "MOM! What are you DOING to me??" when you poured the water over her. So sweet!
It was actually Tim who poured the water all over her. :-) Although, I've been known to do the same.
Hey, trick to filling those pools with air quickly: use the inside part of an ink pen or cut a straw in half. Push the pen or straw into the air hole and then press a blow dryer on the COOL setting up against it so it is flush with the pool side and it fill like a dream!
Heidi,
Tag, you're it. Check out my site for a 8 (Random) Things meme.
