As promised, here are some pictures of Samara in her (borrowed) Dutch costume. Poor Samara Grace... we brought her Centennial Park in downtown Holland and made her sit in front of tulips for a half an hour or so. There were several other parents placing their Dutch-clad children in front of the tulips. "Hold your sister's hand! Okay, now look into your brother's eyes! Honey, look over here! No, don't pull on the tulips!"

It was hard to get Samara to pose - she was not interested in looking at us or at the camera.
Everything else was more interesting.

But she made it through - and so did we. Enjoy her cuteness!

Those photos are just too sweet! We didn't brave the tulip fields this year. :)
Heids-
LOVIN' those pictures! Too cute! I am beginning to see you in her more and more. :)
Very cute. We were in GR last weekend and thought about taking Zora for Tulip Time, but didn't. Then, on the way back to Chicago, we saw this huge extended asian family getting out of their cars at the Indiana rest stop, all the boys decked out in cheap knock-off Dutch fisherman caps. Hee hee.
I think I've got to get a little Norwegian sweater started for Zora so that she can get in touch with her other ethnicity: my Dad insists on taking her through the Dutch Heritage archives whenever possible, and reminds her that she's "mostly Dutch."
Oh my goodness, how ABSOLUTELY precious! Lovin' it! I can't wait to have a photo shoot next year!
Noticing that it is, indeed, Tulip Time right about now makes me think again about how well I'm going to adjust to Michigan weather again, or not. My tulips here have been done for ages. :(
