I bought the shoes. The sales woman assured me it was a good deal. "Tell your husband that $27.00 is a great deal for two pairs of shoes."
Tim was less than impressed.
Two days later, Tim went garage saling with Samara while I was at work. And for exactly the same amount of money, he got all of this...
Count them - fourteen outfits. Including the purchase that he's most excited about:
Tim is a huge Michigan State basketball fan. This cheerleader outfit will fit Samara perfectly right around Halloween. If she's anything like her mother, this will be as close as she ever gets to being a real cheerleader.
Oh - and inlcuded in the $27.00 was an awfully cute pair of sandals. And a 'Sit-n-Spin.'
I've learned my lesson.

Garage sales are hit and miss. They also generally require being out of bed with use of brain and eyes before 6am. ;) When you find a jackpot it's very rewarding, when you don't it seems like a waste of a day off.
You got a good deal on the shoes. They're really sweet. The other clothes are cute too... good job garage saling.
Wow! Awesome! Now I can't wait to get back for garage sales. Let's have a garage-sale outing in August. Right now my only option for American-style baby clothes is Baby Gap at import prices... I splurged on an on-sale $45 sweatsuit for Chlo last month before our camping trip. She would've frozen otherwise and it's the cutest thing ever, but needless to say she doesn't get many new clothes (and I don't get to do much shopping!) at those prices...actually, I think that's the only outfit I've bought her since she was born! Two months to garage sales... two months to garage sales... and seeing my friend Heidi again!
Boy, Kevin and Tim could shake hands. That's a VERY regular comment from my better half as well. "What about garage sales?" However, I have taken him, on rare occasion, and not only am I exhausted after the hunt but unless you're looking for tiny clothes (which you're still in the middle of) it gets extremely difficult to find 2T and bigger without some real wear and tear. (That's a mom of boys speaking, though.)
It's cool to see that Tim went off and did some of the shopping though for I have told Kev that if he doesn't think I'm getting a good enough deal at stores like Kohl's, he's more than welcome to spend his day meandering around Holland and Zeeland in search of items that will fit our "tall" little men. :) But that's only when I'm a little testy! :)
